The Van Guard 1293CMI inverted microscope has a trinocular viewing configuration, phase contrast illumination, plan achromatic objectives, and magnification abilities of 10X, 25X, and 40X, for a number of resolvant options. This microscope enhances object or image resolution, and is commonly employed to observe biological cultures or specimens within well plates, petri dishes, or vials in areas that demand a longer working distance, and is frequently found in university research, and medical and industrial laboratories.
This microscope features a trinocular viewing configuration, with two eyepieces to ease eye strain and supply a far more comprehensive view, and a third head to connect to an external monitor or camera. The binocular eyepieces are positioned vertically at 30 degrees, and rotate 360 degrees. The microscope features a sliding main prism with a 100/100 light split. This signifies that 100% from the light could be directed towards the binocular eyepieces, or 100% from the light can be directed on the third head. The unit has 55-75mm interpupillary adjustment for individual eye spacing, and - 5 to + 5 dioptric adjustment capabilities, to make up for that difference in viewing ability between each eye. This microscope features Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN)-standard achromatic objective lenses, which correct for red and yellow chromatic aberrations. Adjustable resolution provides coated DIN-standard magnification options of 10X, 40X, and 100X (0.25, 0.25, 0.65 numerical aperture [NA]). Phase contrast illumination produces clearer images of opaque or unstained objects, plus an iris diaphragm controls the light diameter. The unit features a 0.40 numerical aperture (NA) Zernike condenser for higher resolution, with phase annulus rings for 10X, 25X, and 40X. What's more, it has a “0” setting for brightfield work. The condenser is mounted over a rack and pinion focusing mechanism, and features spring-loaded centering knobs and an inward-swinging filter holder. The unit has 20-watt variable quartz halogen lighting. A 10X widefield eyepiece magnifier locks on on the unit for ease of operation, and supplies an 18mm field diameter.
The microscope includes a rectangular, chemical-resistant, mechanical stage with rack and pinion assembly as well as an X-Y, right-hand, drop-down control. A removable, spring-clip slide holder mechanism provides specimen maneuverability, and yes it includes a cross-travel array of 30 x 70mm. Sample clearance features a maximum distance of 75 mm. Stage dimensions are 200 x 150 mm (W x D), and motion is controlled with a right-hand, low position, coaxial control mechanism which has a rack and pinion drive. The unit includes two stage inserts: one for a standard 1” x 3” slide, the other for petri dishes or similar vials. It has coarse- and fine-focus adjustment controls with a 40mm focusing range, that graduate to two microns per division. Auto-stop and tension control mechanisms protect the gears. The ball-bearing nosepiece has secure, positive stops, high-grade lubricant, and four rotation positions to guide a range of magnification. The microscope includes a stain-resistant and sturdy cast metal body by having an enamel finish, and anti-skid rubber feet in order to avoid slipping. It appears using a neutral filter, blue and green filters, an extra lamp and fuse, a dust cover, and instructions. The 1293CMI has five-year mechanical and optical warranties, along with a one-year electrical warranty.
The 1293CMI microscope overall dimensions are 435 x 205 x 330 mm (H x W x D) , and base dimensions are 205 x 330 mm (W x D). The unit weighs 9.7 kg. Brightfield objectives (plan achromatic) are as follows: 10X: 0.25 NA, 8.1 working distance (WD), 1.8 mm field of view (FOV); 25X: 0.25 NA, 8.1 mm WD, 1.8 mm FOV; 40X: 0.65 NA 3.3 mm WD, 0.45 mm FOV. It really works using a 0.50A, 250-volt fuse, plus a 110-volt source of energy for illumination, and comes using a six-foot power cord.
Microscopes are instruments used to boost the resolution associated with an object or image. Types include compound, stereo, or digital. Compound microscopes work with a compound optical system with the objective lens as well as an eyepiece. Stereo microscopes show object depth in the three-dimensional image. Digital microscopes are utilized to display an image over a monitor, in lieu of looking through a lens. Microscopes can have monocular (one), binocular (two), or trinocular (three) eyepieces, with varying viewing abilities. A trinocular eyepiece is employed to output digital images to an internal or external device such like a camera or monitor. Magnification ability refers towards the size of the image. Resolution, also referred to as resolvant power, refers on the clarity with the image. The interaction between field of view (FOV), numerical aperture (NA), and distance (WD) determines resolution. Microscopes can control magnification through a fixed focus, or via a variety of adjustments. They can also use LED, fluorescent, and mirror light sources to help control viewing capabilities. Microscopes are widely used in education, lab research, biology, metallurgy, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, and inside medical, forensic science, and veterinary industries.
