The Van Guard 1291CMI inverted microscope includes a trinocular viewing head, Brightfield illumination, plan achromatic objectives, and magnification abilities of 10X, 25X, and 40X, for a selection of applications. This microscope enhances object or image resolution, is employed to observe biological cultures or specimens within well plates, petri dishes, or vials in areas that require a longer working distance, and is frequently used for university research plus medical and industrial laboratories
This microscope includes a trinocular viewing configuration with two eyepieces to ease eye strain and offer a more comprehensive view, along with a third visit connect for an external monitor or camera for an alternative viewing option. The heads are fixed vertically at 30 degrees, and rotate 360 degrees. The microscope includes a sliding main prism which has a 100/100 light split. This means that 100% with the light might be directed to the binocular eyepieces, or 100% of the light can be directed towards the third head. The unit has 55-75 mm interpupillary adjustment for individual eye spacing, and - 5 to + 5 dioptric adjustment capabilities to compensate to the difference in viewing ability in between each eye. This microscope features Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) standard achromatic objective lenses, which correct for red and yellow chromatic aberrations. Adjustable resolution provides coated DIN-standard magnification options of 10X, 40X, and 100X (0.25, 0.25, 0.65 numerical aperture [NA]). Brightfield illumination controls light from below, allowing a specimen to absorb light for clear illumination, and an iris diaphragm controls the lighting diameter. A 0.40 numerical aperture (NA) Abbe condenser provides higher resolution, with phase annulus rings for 10X, 25X, and 40X. The condenser is mounted over a rack and pinion focusing mechanism, and features spring-loaded centering knobs with an inward-swinging filter holder. The unit has 20-watt variable quartz halogen lighting. A 10X widefield eyepiece magnifier locks on to the unit for simplicity of operation, and supplies an 18 mm field diameter.
The microscope includes a rectangular, chemical-resistant, mechanical stage with rack and pinion assembly and X-Y, right-hand, drop-down controls. A removable, spring-clip slide holder mechanism allows specimen maneuverability, and also the stage features a cross-travel variety of 30 x 70 mm. Sample clearance features a maximum distance of 75 mm. Stage dimensions are 200 x 150 mm (W x D), and motion is controlled by the right-hand, low-position, coaxial control mechanism. The unit comes with two stage inserts: one for a standard 1” x 3” slide, the other for petri dishes or similar vials. It has coarse- and fine-focus adjustment controls, with a 40 mm focusing range, and graduates to two microns per division. Auto-stop and tension control mechanisms protect the gears. The ball-bearing nosepiece has secure, positive stops, high-grade lubricant, and four rotation positions to aid a range of magnification. The microscope features a stain-resistant and durable cast metal body with the enamel finish, and anti-skid rubber feet to prevent slipping. It comes down with a neutral filter, a blue filter, a green filter, an additional lamp and fuse, a dust cover, and instructions. The 1291CMI has five-year mechanical and optical warranties, and a one-year electrical warranty.
The 1291CMI microscope overall dimensions are 425 x 205 x 330 mm (H x W x D), and base dimensions are 205 x 330 mm (W x D). The unit weighs 9.7 kg. Brightfield objective (plan achromatic) specifications are as follows: 10X: 0.25 NA, 8.1 working distance (WD), 1.8 mm field of view (FOV); 25X: 0.25 NA, 8.1 mm WD, 1.8 mm FOV; 40X: 0.65 NA 3.3 mm WD, 0.45 mm FOV. It works using a 0.50A, 250-volt fuse (included), plus a 110-volt power source for illumination, and comes with a six-foot power cord.
Microscopes are instruments utilized to boost the resolution associated with an object or image. Types include compound, stereo, or digital. Compound microscopes make use of a compound optical system with an objective lens as well as an eyepiece. Stereo microscopes show object depth in the three-dimensional image. Digital microscopes are employed to display a graphic over a monitor, in lieu of looking by having a lens. Microscopes may have monocular (one), binocular (two), or trinocular (three) eyepieces, with varying viewing abilities. A trinocular eyepiece is utilized to output digital images to an inside or external device such as a camera or monitor. Magnification ability refers to the size of the image. Resolution, also called resolvant power, refers towards the clarity in the image. The interaction between field of view (FOV), numerical aperture (NA), and dealing distance (WD) determines resolution. Microscopes can control magnification through a fixed focus, or by means of a selection of adjustments. They can also employ LED, fluorescent, and mirror light sources to help control viewing capabilities. Microscopes are widely found in education, lab research, biology, metallurgy, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, and inside the medical, forensic science, and veterinary industries.
