The Van Guard 1233CM clinical microscope has trinocular viewing heads, brightfield viewing, phase contrast, plan achromatic phase objectives, and a magnification ability of 10X, 20X, 40X and 100X (oil immersion method) for the variety of resolvant options. This microscope enhances object or image resolution, and is commonly employed for research and professional applications in medical and veterinary clinics, universities and industrial laboratories.

This microscope comes with a trinocular viewing configuration with two heads to ease eye strain and offer a more comprehensive view, plus a third check out connect to an external monitor or camera on an alternative viewing option. The binocular heads have a very fixed, 30-degree vertical inclination, and 360-degree rotation capability. The microscope includes a 20/80 light split, which means that when the third head is used, 20% in the light goes to the third head, and 80% goes towards the user’s eyes through the binocular heads. It has 55-75 mm interpupillary adjustment for individual eye spacing, and - 5 to + 5 dioptric adjustment capabilities to compensate for the difference in viewing ability in between each eye. The binocular heads have rubber eyepieces to close out external light interference. This microscope features Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN)-standard plan achromatic objective lenses, which correct for red and yellow chromatic aberrations and show sharper images. Adjustable resolution provides magnification options of 10X, 20X, 40X, and 100X (0.10, 0.25, 0.60, 1.25 numerical aperture [NA]). Its optical system is fixed at 160 mm. Brightfield illumination controls light from below, allowing a specimen to soak up light for clear illumination. The microscope uses phase contrast to create clearer images of opaque or unstained objects. It has integrated Koehler illumination for brightness control. The unit adjusts light via an iris diaphragm, also it includes a 1.25 NA Abbe condenser for high resolution, with rack and pinion focus control. It has 20-watt variable quartz halogen lighting, and a filter holder located around the collector. The microscope includes a 10X widefield eyepiece magnifier, which locks on on the unit for simplicity of operation, and supplies an 18 mm field diameter.

The rectangular, chemical-resistant mechanical stage has a drop-down, right-hand, X-Y rack and pinion control. It features a removable, spring-clip slide holder mechanism for specimen maneuverability, as well as a cross-travel array of 75 x 50 mm. The microscope has coaxial coarse- and fine-focus adjustment controls with tension adjustment, with an auto-stop mechanism to guard slides. It includes a slip clutch mechanism. The reverse-pitch nosepiece has secure, positive stops, and four rotation positions to support a range of magnification. The microscope posseses an ergonomic, stain-resistant and durable cast metal body with an enamel finish, and anti-skid rubber feet to prevent slipping. It comes down having a clear diffusing filter, a blue filter, spare lamps and fuses, a dust cover, two rubber eyecups, and instructions. The 1233CM has five-year mechanical and optical warranties, as well as a one-year electrical warranty.

The 1233CM microscope overall dimensions are 380 x 210 x 180 mm (H x W x D), and base dimensions are 210 x 180 mm (W x D). The unit weighs 5.5 kg. It really works having a 1A, 250 volt fuse (included), as well as a 110-volt power source for illumination, and comes using a six-foot power cord.

Microscopes are instruments employed to improve the resolution of the object or image. Types include compound, stereo, or digital. Compound microscopes use a compound optical system with the objective lens as well as an eyepiece. Stereo microscopes show object depth in a three-dimensional image. Digital microscopes are used to display a graphic on a monitor, as opposed to looking by having a lens. Microscopes may have monocular (one), binocular (two), or trinocular (three) eyepieces, with varying viewing abilities. A trinocular eyepiece is utilized to output digital images or video to an internal or external device such like a camera or monitor. Magnification ability refers towards the size of the image. Resolution, also known as resolvant power, refers to the clarity from the image. The interaction between field of view (FOV), numerical aperture (NA), and working distance (WD) determines resolution. Microscopes can control magnification by strategy for a fixed focus, or via a selection of adjustments. They can also use LED, fluorescent, and mirror light sources to help control viewing capabilities. Microscopes are widely used in education, lab research, biology, metallurgy, engineering, chemistry, manufacturing, and in the medical, forensic science, and veterinary industries.

Vee Gee Scientific manufactures laboratory equipment and supplies, and makes the VanGuard brand of products. The company, founded three decades ago and headquartered in Kirkland, WA, offers scientific equipment for educational, research, clinical, and industrial applications.
